Necklaces are one of the oldest and easiest forms of jewellery to wear. You can put them on and forget about them if you wish, unlike bracelets and rings; they can be either constantly on display, or kept under clothing as a private indulgence; and there are styles for all budgets and tastes. Diamonds are a particularly suitable stone for necklaces – no matter what your complexion and colouring, diamonds take in the colours of your face and refract them as shining light – they are always perfectly matched to you.
Some people make a distinction between diamond necklaces and diamond pendants. On this site, diamond necklaces are pieces where the centre, ‘display’ section is either joined onto the simpler chain area, or where the drop section is particularly petite. Diamond pendants are usually a stand-alone piece that can be moved from chain to chain, where the drop section is larger.
Buying Diamond Necklaces
Most of our stores have a great selection of diamond necklaces. Some, like Goldsmiths, H Samuel, Coloured Rocks and The Diamond Store separate pendants and necklaces for you. In others they are categorised together. Only two of our stores do not have any options for diamond necklaces – Purely Diamonds and MyDiamonds. Ernest Jones and Goldsmiths have the best range, while F Hinds has wonderfully elegant designs, and Forzieri has fun with diamonds.
